GEORGIA MC VITTIE

Director / Commercial, Purchasing, Sales & Finance.

Georgia has been involved in all aspects of the family business since 2008. Her first two years were spent on the shop floor packing tins and operating machinery. During this period Georgia gained a fundamental understanding of the manufacturing process. Georgia then attended the University of Liverpool and successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Science whilst still working in the business part time. Upon completing her degree Georgia returned to the business full time in 2012. After the incorporation of the business to a limited company in 2014 Georgia became a director and shareholder. The grounding and background which Georgia had established over many years allowed her to progress very quickly to the management of all commercial and financial aspects of the company.

THOMAS MC VITTIE

Director / Mechanical Engineer

Thomas became involved in the business at age 8 when he could be found packing tins on a Sunday morning (Victorian values are always the best!). After leaving school Thomas then followed in his father’s footsteps and completed a 4-year fully indentured mechanical engineering apprenticeship. Thomas was indentured by his father which is a very rare occurrence these days. Thomas completed his entire apprenticeship within Mc Vittie Canworks under the tuition of his father. He now operates in a full-time engineering capacity alongside his Dad absorbing as much of his engineering knowledge and experience as he can.
